NSP Elements Hybrid Surfboard
The Hybrid by NSP Surfboards is a perfect all-rounder for an intermediate surfer. Easy to catch waves like riding a longboard, but handles the waves like a performance shortboard. Very user-friendly with plenty of quirks to make it a great everyday quiver.
WHAT IS A HYBRID SURFBOARD?
A hybrid surfboard is a mixture, or so-called hybrid of a different surfboard prototypes. The NSP Hybrid surfboard is a mixture of a performance shortboard and a bit more relaxed mal-board.
HOW TO DESCRIBE THE NSP HYBRID SURFBOARD?
Less drag, plenty of volume, ability to rip. Perfect all-rouder for intermediate surfer or an advanced beginner.
WHAT SIZE SURFBOARD IS RIGHT FOR ME?
When choosing a surfboard, there are quite a few important factors to consider when choosing the right board.
- Length – An average, competent or so-called intermediate surfer is should choose a surfboard that’s about a foot longer than their height. A beginner surfer is better off starting with a longer board though. A competent, or an intermediate surfer weighing less than 200lbs could be taking the surfboard about the same size of their length – but by the end of the day it’s more about the weight than the height.
- Volume – The number of liters that keep the surfboard afloat is really important when duck-diving the surfboard under the waves. More volume means larger board an easier time to catch the waves.
Make sure to read more about the Surfboard Size Guide if you are not sure of what to choose.
WHAT ARE THE DOWNSIDES OF THE NSP HYBRID FISH?
As the cons of every hybrid, it’s biggest weakness is it’s best benefit. It’s not perfect for one occasion, so as for the fish or a longboard that are good boards for small and low waves, while the surfboard comes real handy on faster and more powerful waves. The Hybrid is still a perfect all-rounder, but not might be the perfect choice for a demanding surfer riding high-quality fast waves.
